私たち日本人は、自然の樹液である漆を用いて器を直してきました。
そして金や銀などでお化粧をし、
傷跡を景色と見立てて、ものを大切にしていました。
この技術を通称として

受け継いで来た興味深い文化を持っています。

現在、直し方には様々な手法が登場しています。
私は昔ながらのやり方で、温度や湿度を待ちながら
時間をかけて直すことにしています。
手間と時間をかけて物を慈しむ　”待つ”　ことに
大切なものが潜んでいると感じるからです。

ひとつひとつの器が違うことに加え
できた傷もひとつひとつ違います。
手に取り、よく見て、それぞれの個性を見つけ、
従来の伝統を踏まえつつも、
その景色に、今の時代の息をも吹き込めたらと思います。
新たな顔となった器で、
直して使い続けることできる気持ち良さを、
発見して欲しいものです。

破片を探して大事にとっておいてください。
